HOW TO PRAY

How to pray the Stations of the Cross rosary:

BEGIN ON THE CRUCIFIX
Make the Sign of the Cross and say the Apostles’ Creed

NEXT FIVE BEADS
Say the Act of Contrition, the Our Father, Hail Mary, and Glory Be. On the last pray the Prayer to Jesus Christ Crucified:
My good and dear Jesus, I kneel before you, asking you most earnestly to engrave upon my heart a deep and lively faith, hope, and charity, with true repentance for my sins, and a firm resolve to make amends. As I reflect upon your five wounds, and dwell upon them with deep compassion and grief, I recall, good Jesus, the words the prophet David spoke long ago concerning yourself: ‘They have pierced my hands and my feet; they have counted all my bones!

BEFORE EACH STATION
Pray the prayer attributed to St. Francis of Assisi:
We adore You, O Christ, and we praise You, because by Your Holy Cross You have redeemed the world.

EACH SET OF 3 BEADS
Meditate on each Station and pray:
Our Father, Hail Mary, and Glory Be

CLOSING PRAYER
Lord Jesus Christ, your passion and death is the sacrifice that unites earth and heaven and reconciles all people to you. May we who have faithfully reflected on these mysteries follow in your steps and so come to share your glory in heaven where you live and reign with the Father and the Holy Spirit one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

History of Our Lady of Fátima

In 1917, in the small village of Fátima, Portugal, the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared to three shepherd children: Lucia, Jacinta, and Francisco. Between May and October, on the 13th of each month, the children reported seeing a luminous Lady who brought messages of prayer, peace, and devotion to the world.

During these apparitions, Our Lady entrusted the children with three secrets and called for prayer, especially the Rosary, as a path to conversion and hope for humanity.

The final apparition, on October 13, 1917, was witnessed by tens of thousands of people who had gathered in Fátima, Portugal. Many reported seeing the extraordinary Miracle of the Sun, a phenomenon in which the sun appeared to dance across the sky.

Today, the Sanctuary of Fátima, Portugal stands as one of the most important Catholic pilgrimage sites in the world, welcoming millions of pilgrims each year who come to pray, honor Our Lady of Fátima, and seek her message of peace.
